Poverty researchers are responsible for coordinating and managing research projects pertaining to regional or global poverty and poverty reduction.

 

They also help establish a platform for poverty reduction research and support the work of poverty reduction training.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Develop procedures relating to the management of research on international poverty reduction

• Collaborate with partnering organizations and interest groups to form a research team

• Design, organize and conduct research projects

• Work on short, medium, long term and annual research projects

• Develop and maintain informational databases

• Develop and maintain networks of collaborative research institutes
