Archival technicians are responsible for assisting users with accessing archived resources. They must also participate in archive processing and storage. Archival technicians may be employed by libraries, records management branches or organizations with archive services. 

 

 

Job Duties

• Assist users in accessing books, films, records, maps, photographs, documents, electronic and other archived materials

• Catalogue archived materials

• Perform manual and online reference searches

• Enter the checkout and return of archived materials
