Legal Analyst Job Description

Legal analysts provide services and information such as legal research, case briefings and the pertinent knowledge of a case for lawyers and legal teams.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Search for legal loopholes on behalf of an organization in order to enhance the functioning of that organization and circumvent restrictive legalities

• Fully research anything needed by the legal team or the organization being represented

• Work to improve tax incentives to increase the revenue of an organization

• On behalf of government agencies, research actions undertaken by the agency to ensure compliance with regional and federal legislation

• Effectively communicate findings to those requesting the research or information

• Provide formal briefings to lawmakers, judges, legal teams and boards of directors

• Assist legal teams in preparation for trials and hearings

• Research cases and assist lawyers in developing strategies for those cases
