Expedition photographers are responsible for capturing photographic images during scientific, research, commercial or leisure oriented expeditions.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Confer with clients or managers to gain thorough understanding of photographic needs

• Plan and prepare for the types of photographs that will be needed

• Ensure there is sufficient funding for the expedition

• Compile comprehensive visual records of expeditions from preparation to finish

• Capture striking and visually appealing photographs

• May capture photographs for cataloging purposes

• Ensure to respect the wildlife, environment and people in the location of the exhibition

• Assemble specific photography kit for expedition from personal collection

• Acquire and maintain new equipment as needed
