Behavioural therapists are responsible for assisting people with solving their psychological, emotional and behavioral problems.

 

They must focus on identifying and eliminating negative behaviours and replacing them with socially acceptable and positive behaviours.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Maintain comprehensive client records pertaining to client progress

• Treat mental health disorders using behavioural therapy techniques

• Help addicts develop alternatives to substance abuse

• May help family members and spouses develop healthier ways of interacting with each other

• Communicate clearly and effectively with parents and caregivers

• Work with individuals or groups
