Youth Advocate - Supported Housing Job Description

Youth advocates provide comprehensive case management to youth living in supported housing programs.

 

Youth advocates work directly with their clients to identify and achieve goals in such areas as employment, professionalism, personal advocacy, health and relationships.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Support property management functions for transitional housing programs by acting as liaison between program participants and the Housing Specialist

• Create and deliver impactful service plans for youth that focus on achieving outcomes in the areas of education, employment, long-term housing, parenting, relationships and overall health

• Perform data entry functions to support program evaluation and outcomes testing

• Attend periodic meetings with program coordinator

• Distribute monthly grocery and transportation assistance to program participants

• Help program participants move into supported housing

• Conduct periodic inspections to ensure properties meet the minimum cleanliness requirements
