Crisis Hotline Coordinator Job Description

Crisis hotline coordinators are responsible for organizing and implementing crisis phone line services. They must also recruit, screen, hire and train other members of the crisis hotline team.



Typical Job Duties

• Keep track of crisis hotline operation and use

• Develop reports based on usage statistics

• Promote crisis hotline program within the community through media interviews, brochures, press releases and forums

• Develop and maintain contacts within community groups and organizations

• Act as a front line in the delivery of service on the crisis hotline

• Assist in the development of the crisis hotline budget

• Provide input into the planning, developing and evaluating of services delivered

• Schedule, supervise and support crisis hotline staff and volunteers
