A crisis intervention coordinator works with at-need individuals as well as their family and friends in order to provide intensive support, often relating to mental health issues. Crisis intervention coordinators are often employed by schools, police departments and social service agencies.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Ensure that crisis intervention team members are properly trained and ready to provide immediate response to crisis situations

• Ensure adequate support is given to crisis victims

• May be responsible for victim advocacy in court hearings

• Coordinate follow up service care

• Ensure databases and files are maintained for crisis victims
