Women's Shelter Staff Job Description

Women’s shelter staff are responsible for providing services such as advocacy, case management and counseling for victims who are leaving a violent domestic situation. 

Typical Job Duties

• Maintain client confidentiality for both clients and staff of women’s shelter

• Maintain comprehensive client records

• Ensure an emotionally and physically safe environment for clients and staff

• Perform cleaning and laundering duties

• Maintain donor database

• Provide support and short-term counseling

• Help clients identify and set goals

• Provide telephone coverage for crisis hotline
