Demographic researchers design, implement and manage demographic research projects. They must collect and analyze information using a variety of methods such as interviews and questionnaires in order to accomplish their research objectives. They may be employed by private research organizations, government agencies or universities.



Demographic Researcher Job Duties

• Prepare and present proposals for new demographic research projects

• Liaise with clients to gain an understanding of the objectives of the research project

• Refine research objectives

• Use an appropriate and creative methodology to create and manage a research project

• May use quantitative and/or qualitative methods during research

• Produce pilot and development work

• Analyze and evaluate research and interpret data

• Present results of research both orally and in writing and offer advice based on the research
