Women's Studies Scholarships

Below is a list of scholarships from our database that are relevant for students of women's studies, gender studies, and similar programs. Some of these scholarships are targeted towards Canadian students, and others to American students, and many to both!

Getty Scholar Grants

Getty Scholars may be in residence from three to nine months: 

Three-month residency: September to December, January to March, April to June: $17,200
Six-month residency: September to March, January to June: $42,000
Nine-month residency: September to June: $65,000

A Place for Mom Annual Senior Care Scholarship

Indspire Post-Secondary Education Scholarship



February 1; August 1; November 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT (annually)


Full-time one-year certificate or diploma programs, undergraduate and graduate degree programs from an accredited post- secondary institution. 


Canada (Study outside of Canada is permitted at the graduate level).


Kate B. and Hall J. Peterson Fellowships

$1,850 per month or $1,350 per month including housing in the Society's Fellow's Residence


January 15, annually (UPDATE: Due to the COVID pandemic, the Society is suspending the 2021 application process for all short-term fellowships. The next applications for short-term fellowships will be due on January 15, 2022. Fellowships will be tenable for 2022-23.)
