Typical Job Duties

• Direct the sales activities of a branch

• Direct clerical staff to keep records 

• Recruit, hire, supervise and support staff such as sales agents, adjusters and underwriters

• Develop and maintain contacts with insurance regulators

• Ensure that sales activities adhere to industry regulations and legislation

• Maintain current knowledge of available insurance products

• Determine price schedules and discount rates
