General Criteria for the Canadian National Railway Company Scholarship includes having an interest in railway engineering, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0, and being available for interview by the AREMA Scholarship Committee.

Eligibility : 

Enrolled students must have completed at least one quarter or semester in an accredited* four or five year engineering or engineering technology undergraduate/graduate degree program.
The 2019 application form applies to all Scholarships offered by AREMA.

* Programs accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (or comparable organization in Canada and Mexico).


Essay Details: 

A personal statement, not to exceed 350 words, explaining why you believe you are deserving of an AREMA Educational Foundation Scholarship. You should indicate areas of railroading which might be of particular interest to you (freight, signals and communication, computers, passenger and transit, bridges and structures, geotechnical, environmental, rail construction, or other) and describe how your attributes relate to these areas.
