The Pelmorex Corp. educational incentive award is to create interest among Indigenous peoples in the Canadian Broadcasting, Journalism and Digital Media industry. One scholarship of $1,000 is awarded each year. The award is paid directly to the recipient’s educational institution on their behalf.

Pelmorex welcomes applications from status or non-status Indigenous peoples. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a Broadcasting, Journalism, or a Media Communications Program at a Canadian College or University and have received passing marks in their previous year of study. Applicants must also be returning to complete their studies in the same calendar year. Applicants are committed students who want to contribute and have enthusiasm for their chosen career path. If no students apply from these programs then the award may go to a student in another school program specifically, Business Administration, Meteorology, Computer Science, Graphic Design or Engineering Technology.
