Art instructors are responsible for helping students understand, interpret and create works of art. Art instructors teach art history, art appreciation and various methods of artistic expression.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Liaise with other instructors

• Prepare course plans and related reference materials

• Plan art class content in such a way that it is appropriate for the level of ability of the students

• Make supply and equipment recommendations to those who oversee the program budget

• Explain and demonstrate artistic techniques

• Encourage students to develop artistic ideas
