Pre-trial services officers are responsible for ensuring prisoners who are released on bond prior to a trial adhere to the conditions of their release and perform any necessary duties.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Enforce court orders relating to defendants who are released on bond

• Supervise drug tests

• Ensure the defendants attend any therapy or meetings mandated by the court

• Visit defendants who are under house arrest in order to ensure they are not violating restrictions

• May be required to testify during trial

• Confer with defense and prosecution attorneys
