Typical Job Duties

• Provide assistance and emotional support to victims of crime or personal tragedy

• Gain background information of the crime or tragedy

• Work as part of crisis intervention team

• Respond to requests made by the police or other agencies

• Assist with applications for financial benefits and claims for restitution

• Provide support and trauma education for victims

• Assist in the preparation, delivery and explanation of victim impact statements
