Contractual Researcher Job Description

The leader of a contract research team must use their study management experience to lead studies for various clients. The contractual research team leader oversees all aspects of performing various types of studies, and must report to the Director of Operations or other appropriate management.

 

 

Typical Job Duties

• Assist study sponsors with generating a scientifically sound, written and verbal interpretation of the results of the study

• Minimize wasted resources and ensure cost efficiency

• Effectively lead and manage research teams who are required to handle multiple, overlapping projects

• Document and report any and all deviations from protocols or regulations to the Director of Operations or other appropriate management

• Ensure that study technicians are adequately trained, approved and scheduled to perform the studies they are assigned to work on

• In collaboration with Business Development prepare study proposals including study design, materials and resource requirements, cost analysis and recommendation, as well as, overall project timeline plans
